Screenshot 2018-09-13 at 13.22.56 - Edited.png

The Syrian City Lunch returns for City Giving Day! Come and feast on a pop up bringing delicious Syrian food to the heart of the City, all the while raising money for a very good cause.

Get Tickets HERE

Imagine... fantastic flatbreads, marvellous mezze, delicious dips and middle-eastern spices... cooked for your enjoyment by Syrian chefs. All this, and served within the square mile, so the journey from work doesn't eat into the lunching hour.

The Syrian City Lunch is brought to you by the Hands Up Foundation who run their sell-out Syrian Supper Clubs all over London. All funds raised will go to the Hands Up Foundation, supporting their aid projects in Syria, which are carefully selected to have the maximum impact for those in need. You can read more about our projects on the Hands Up website.

Your ticket price includes a delicious three course Syrian lunch and a cocktail (or 'mocktail' - depending on how adventurous you feel on a Tuesday)

It will start at 12:30pm, so hurry down from the office and enjoy a feast for the senses.

For the same price as a £30 ticket you can cover the cost of a doctor's wages for a day at one of the clinics supported by Hands Up. Please consider buying this option - it all makes such a difference.

WHISKEY MOON FACE PERFORM "PANSPERMIA" + KIT DOWNES AND TOM CHALLENGER: 'VYAMANIKAL'

Pear ‘o legs records are back for our second quarterly show at the Gresham Centre in the beautiful Grade I listed church near St Paul’s.

Whiskey Moon Face

Joyously jovial, yet sincere and poignant, Whiskey Moon Face are one of a kind. This London based trio combine accordion, double bass and clarinet alongside Louisa’s ethereal vocals to create a sound both rooted in the folk traditions of Eastern Europe and New Orleans Jazz that is also strikingly original.

whiskey-moon-face.jpg

They’re latest two albums transport you to the epitome of a late night jazz club, smoke in the air, a couple slowing dancing as their music fills the room. These albums have soaked up the memory of the recently lost venue, The Jamboree in Limehouse, London, where they had a weekly residency. A welcome reminiscence for those who knew it and a beautiful discovery for those that didn’t.

Music meets physics as this group offer you the answers to the universe and everything, if only we had the means to understand it.

Kit Downes and Tom Challenger: 'Vyamanikal'

Kit Downes and Tom Challenger perform their most recent album - ‘Vyamanikal’ - music for saxophone and church organ.

From October 2014-October 2015 they were part of Aldeburgh Music’s ‘Open Space’ residency programme - a project that saw them travel to different local churches in Suffolk, investigating the differing acoustics and different organs (often in various states of disrepair) that they found, all documented in an album recording, their second album as a duo - ‘Vyamanikal’.

They have performed at the Royal Festival Hall (as part of the ‘Pull Out the Stops’ Festival - to welcome the return of the newly-refurbished organ), The London Contemporary Music Festival, Cologne Philharmonie, Stavanger Konserthus, Aldeburgh Music Festival, Darmstadt Stadtkirche concert series and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival - as well as several live broadcasts for the BBC.
